samsunghz25w-sbOne of the things that I always liked about some point-and-shoot digital cameras was that you could buy cameras that offered huge zoom levels. I can get lots of zoom on my DSLR, but that requires a lens that costs more than most point-and-shoot cameras themselves.

Samsung has unveiled a new digital camera that has a massive 24x zoom lens with 26mm wide angle optics. The camera can also record 720p HD video and use the full zoom range while doing so. Other nice features of the camera include support for RAW format.

Samsung also gave the camera extensive manual control options. The camera has a 3-inch rear LCD and is fitted with an electronic viewfinder as well. A full range of automatic modes are featured too including face recognition, face detection, and more. The camera will sell for $399.99 and ship in October.
