If you’ve been waiting for some official word from Nintendo on the Wii price cut, here’s some good news. A Nintendo fan site who was listening in on a conference call claims that the company confirmed a $50 cut for Sept. 27.

Yes, it’s confusing and unconfirmed and not official at all. Nintendo hasn’t said a word to anyone aside from this alleged call. All should be revealed soon and we’ll let you know when we have more info.

We are inclined to believe that the big N is cutting prices soon, whatever the date.
