Archos unveils $500 Tablet

Archos unveils $500 TabletArchos has finally unleashed more info regarding their upcoming touchscreen tablet, the Archos 9. The announcement comes at the same time as Microsoft’s prototype tablet, called Courier. The 9-inch tablet is powered by an Intel Atom processor, with up to 120GB of disk space, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connectivity and Microsoft’s Windows 7 operating system.

Some other features include 1GB of RAM, a lithium-ion battery, webcam, and the virtual keyboard. It also comes bundled with software, which includes Microsoft Office and Skype.

The Tablet should start shipping on October 22nd for about $500.
