Commodore 64 cake

Posted in Computer Cases by Conner Flynn on August 12th, 2009

Commodore 64 cake It’s been a while since we’ve seen an awesome geek cake as retro-liscous as this one. A genuine Commodore 64 Cake. It was made in honor of some guy’s 30th birthday.

It has some super nice detail work on the frosting, like all of that keyboard lettering. Even a power cord. Though I don’t remember Pong being available for the C64. It sure looks tasty. This guys wife, who made the cake, is a real special woman and if things don’t work out for them she can make me a cake anyday.

Hippo foot massager

Posted in Apparel by Conner Flynn on August 12th, 2009

Hippo foot massagerWould you wear a foot massager that’s really a slipper with two Hippos on it? You know you would, because massages feel great. Just don’t let anyone catch you. Ever. You don’t want it getting around the office. It’s a slipper for two feet at once, which makes it even weirder.

Oh and it comes from a company called Farting Hippo. So maybe the idea is that the vibration of hippo farts make a good massage. The question is, do you need a massage bad enough to wear this? Terrible as this is, it’s a tough call. Just don’t get caught.

Japanese rescue robots save people by swallowing them

Posted in Robots by Conner Flynn on August 12th, 2009

On one hand, you can be saved from certain death in a disaster situation, on the other, a robot must swallow you in order to get you to safety. So do I lay there bleeding or let a robot eat me? Decisions. I think I’ll lay there for awhile, because I don’t know if it has teeth or not.

If you are going to convince people to be rescued by robots, maybe your video should not be titled “Human body shredding machine in Japan”. You know? Drag me, lift me up and throw me, even grab me by the scruff of the neck and carry me to safety, but I ain’t gettin’ in your belly.
