The ultimate reading lamp

Posted in Concepts by Conner Flynn on July 16th, 2009

The ultimate reading lampSometimes an idea can be so simple that you wonder why you never thought of it yourself. This is one of those ideas. The Book-sensitive Reading Lamp was designed by French designers Jun Yasumoto, Alban Le Henry, Olivier Pigasse and Vincent Vandenbrouck.

You can figure out how to use it just by looking at it. The idea is that the lamp will turn itself off whenever you place a book on it, open to the page where you stopped reading. It will turn on again when you remove the book. This one is so good that it will likely become a reality.

Hopefully soon.
