There are so many activities going on during the summer that most people keep cameras and camcorders on them at all times. Activities like those pool parties or beach vacations are things that many people will want to look back on later.

SanDisk has announced a contest that can win you some cool cash just for shooting video with your cell phone or camcorder. SanDisk wants people to now that their cell phones can record video, unless you use early iPhone models, and promote the use of memory cards as well.

The contest asks participants to record a 60-second video of happenings from their summer and post it to the SanDisk YouTube site. The grand prize winning video will get $5,000 with the top five videos each week getting $1,000. The top 25 finalists each week will win a SanDisk memory card and card reader. The contest runs now through August 31 and videos can be submitted until August 10.
