Samsung SNE-50K E-Book ReaderSamsung is jumping headfirst into the e-book reader market with the SNE-50K, hoping to compete with the Kindle. The device weighs 200 grams and comes with 512MB of internal memory built in, which will hold about 400 books. Some other features include a 5″ display with 800 x 600 resolution and a battery life that will last 4,320 pages.

It also doubles as a notepad, which the Kindle doesn’t do, while being attractively slim at just 9mm. Unlike Amazon’s Kindle, the SNE-50K doesn’t provide over the air content download, but you can feed it whatever you want with conversion software.

The SNE-50K supports both TXT files and the ePub format.
