Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 Rachael specs unveiledYou might remember the Sony Ericsson Rachael, SE’s first Android smartphone. Its official name might be Sony Ericsson Xperia X3, and not Xperia X5, as some have previously thought. Anyway, back when we Showed you the device, we didn’t have a lot of info on it’s features.

Here are some highlights. Android OS, 800×400 touch display, 3.5G (10Mbps), 8 Megapixel camera with autofocus and AGPS. There’s no mention the CPU speed, or graphics acceleration. Right now the price and release date are a mystery, but you can pre-order it so obviously it’s coming very soon.

VISA testing instant transaction confirmation alertsIt’s good to know what’s going on in your credit card account. It’s even better to know what’s happening in real-time. That’s why Visa is testing a real-time notification system for mobile phones. Users are able to choose the alert level (whether for all or only the expensive items) and even choose if they prefer SMS or Email alerts.

Currently VISA employees are testing the system to work out all the kinks. things out. Since we are dealing with VISA, we are guessing that the service won’t be free once it goes public, but that remains to be seen.

iPod Touch with Camera and Microphone coming?According to a source at Wired, Apple’s Chinese contractors are already hard at work cranking out iPod touch units with cameras and microphones. If true, it would turn the smart media player almost into an iPhone.

According to their source, these new iPods will go on sale in “two to three months.” Could Apple eventually gain carrier independence with a 100% VoIP solution? Things could get very interesting starting in “two to three months.”

And no, you don’t invite this into your home in order to entice your witch wife to take a long ride far away from you. In fact, this broom won’t even clean your floor like a Roomba.

It will just scare guests next Halloween, by moving around the room to “spooky” music and “frightful” cackling sounds. Only $39. When it drives you so nuts that you snap it in half over your knee, I imagine it will feel very satisfying.

Motorola Morrison spotted with AndroidSure, we had heard the rumors that Motorola’s Morrison handset would run Android, but until this pic today, they remained rumors. Aside from Android, there’s nothing really too surprising going on here. But just what are they aiming for with this?

Judging by the bright colors, plastic body and small size, the theory is that this one will be aimed at texting tweenz. No one knows for sure at the moment. But tweenz need some Android love too.

Xbox Live Dashboard update coming August 11thThe Xbox 360′s next Xbox Live update is coming on August 11. Microsoft confirmed today the launch of the new Xbox Live Games On Demand service, which will launch with more than 30 games. Some examples include Assassin’s Creed, BioShock, Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga, Mass Effect, and Sonic The Hedgehog.

The 11th also brings the introduction of Netflix party support, which allows multiple people to watch Netflix movies together. Also, the Avatar marketplace will launch, offering virtual versions of things like an RC Warthog from Halo.

Dell Adamo announcedThe Dell Adamo is an impressive laptop. If it has one major problem, it’s the price. We hear ya. Times are tough Dell. How about a little stimulous plan or something? Well, Dell may not feel your pain, but it does want your money so they’ve lowered the price in order to get it.

The starting price for the 1.2GHz Adamo has been reduced from $1,999 to $1,499, while the high-end model with an SSD and a 1.4GHz processor is down to $2,299.

Well, the Baylis “Slik-Stik” LED Folding Walking Stick is a similar device, updating the walking stick with some useful features.

The Slikstik can wind up to light your way, so that you can be seen in the dark and stay safe. If that isn’t enough, it also makes noise. This one is a great idea. We aren’t sure why the walking stick is getting all kinds of upgrades, but we’re just glad it is. Walking stick users have never had so many options.

Nokia working on an upcoming netbook?There have been rumors floating around about a possible netbook from Nokia. And now it seems like the rumors may have at least some basis in reality. A Finnish blog named Puhelinvertailu has uncovered some trademark registrations that may shed some light on upcoming Nokia products, including a Nokia laptop computer, which could be the netbook.

The trademark used the term “booklet”, which has us intrigued. Sadly, that’s about all we know at the moment. It might be a netbook, it might be something else. It might be nothing at all.

Under the hood you’ll find an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, Up to 8GB RAM, Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated/ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 graphics chip, Up to 500GB of hard drive space, DVD burner/Blu-ray combo, 4 or 8 cell battery, 13.3″ LED backlight display at 1,366 × 768 pixels, Optional 2-megapixel webcam and Wi-Fi.

The ProBook 4310s is powered by Windows Vista and prices start at $779 and go up from there, after you’ve thrown in the additional fingerprint reader, Bluetooth etc.

soundblasterwireless-sbCreative has been making Sound Blaster sound cards for computers and laptops for many years. The products were once among the most popular add-in cards for gaming PCs. With the advent of HD onboard sound on most computers, the add-in sound card isn’t as popular as it used to be.

Today Creative announced its latest Sound Blaster device called the Sound Blaster Wireless for iTunes. The device retails for $149.99 and turns Mac and PC computers into a wireless music system. The system includes the wireless transmitter that is about the size of a flash drive and a receiver.

AT&T announces new subsidized netbooks available nationwide

dellmini10-sbOver in Europe subsidized price notebooks and netbooks are very common with most of the major mobile providers offering all sorts of notebooks to users at discount prices. The caveat is that you have to sign away years of your mobile broadband freedom to get the deals.

Subsidized notebooks and netbooks aren’t that common here in the U.S., but they are starting to gain in popularity. AT&T already offers a subsidized price Acer Aspire One and the mobile provider has announced that it will now be offering a subsidized Dell Mini 10 and Lenovo S10 netbook at stores across the nation.

gateway_lt2000-sbNetbooks are still selling very well despite the fact that sales of traditional notebooks are at some of the lowest levels in years. Sales of netbooks are exploding, particularly in the more undeveloped areas of the world.

Gateway has announced a new netbook called the Gateway LT2000 that is a clone of one of the Acer Aspire One machines burning up the netbook sales charts. The LT2000 is available in a slick red or black chassis and sports what you expect to see in a netbook.
