Hot on the heels of their Zi8 HD camcorder, the company has also announced a new media-adapter, the Kodak Theatre HD Player. It’s designed to plug directly into your HDTV with your home network, via WiFi or ethernet.

The Theatre HD Player does what you might expect, it can display images, video, music and web content. It includes a “point and play” remote, a motion-sensitive controller that acts like a mouse but you won’t need a flat surface.

You can load videos via SD/MMC/xD/MS/CF card or via USB and the Kodak Theatre HD Player can play YouTube videos and other on-demand streams. The Kodak Theatre HD Player is available now for $199.99.
