gateway_lt2000-sbNetbooks are still selling very well despite the fact that sales of traditional notebooks are at some of the lowest levels in years. Sales of netbooks are exploding, particularly in the more undeveloped areas of the world.

Gateway has announced a new netbook called the Gateway LT2000 that is a clone of one of the Acer Aspire One machines burning up the netbook sales charts. The LT2000 is available in a slick red or black chassis and sports what you expect to see in a netbook.

Specifications include Windows XP Home, Intel Atom N270 1.60GHz CPU, 10.1-inch LCD with a resolution of 1024 x 600, 1GB of RAM, and a 160GB HDD. The machine uses a 3-cell battery good for three hours of use and will sell for $299.99.
