Blaze 3-in-1 selector: Switch between Nintendo DS Lite gamesChances are that if you have ADD, you probably also play video games. You probably just don’t sit with any game for very long. Well here’s a new toy for you. This little device will alow you to quickly flip between your favorite games on your Nintendo DS Lite. You can choose from 3 different games with just the flick of a switch.

The BLAZE 3-in-1 game selector features three cartridge bays, and a single ribbon connector that plugs into your DS’ cartridge slot. It adds bulk to your DS Lite, but the trade off is that you can choose from multiple games without having to carry around an additional case. One of 3 green LEDs lights up to indicate which game is currently active.

We don’t know if it will work on the DSi. It will cost you about $13.

Some of these late-to-market addons for the DS Lite are reminding me of the glut of peripherals (and a number of multi-cartridge selectors in particular) for the Atari 2600 that appeared in 1982-83…. right before the video game market crash.

I think Nintendo will do a little better than Atari did, since the DSi is faring better now than the Atari 5200 did in 1982.
