Averatec N3400 13-Inch aluminum notebookAveratec’s N3400 is a 13.3″ notebook that weighs in at 3.8lbs, which is pretty light for this category of notebook. The outer shell seems to be made of aluminum, but the rest looks like typical materials. It’s available now for $799. Here are some of the specs:

Intel T3400 2.16Ghz (a CULV would have been cooler), 13.3″ 1280×1024 with 1.3MP webcam, 3GB DDR 2m 800Mhz (8GB max), 250GB hdd, DVD drive, 3x USB, 3.5mm audio in/out, VGA, Multi-format card reader and WiFi-N, Bluetooth, Gigabit Ethernet.

No word on battery life.

Looks really cool Laptop, at reasonable price to me..

  2. EndlessWaves Says:

A 13.3″ screen with a resolution of 1280×1024 but a widescreen form factor? The Chipchick link claims it’s WXGA which is probably 1280×800.

That’s a shame, if it had been 1024 pixels high then that would have been a really desirable machine.
