Verizon gets HTC Ozone

htcozone-sbHTC only recently announced its new Android-powered smartphone called the Hero. HTC has a number of smartphones on various wireless networks in the US and is the maker of the T-Mobile G1 smartphone that runs Android.

HTC has announced its latest smartphone called the HTC Ozone that will be a Verizon Wireless exclusive. The device is described as an easy-to-use smartphone with a simple design and lots of connectivity options.

The Device features a QWERTY keyboard, 3G connectivity, a 1500mAh battery, Wi-Fi, and world roaming capabilities. The phone supports mobile email and IM as well as Verizon Visual Voicemail and VZ Navigator. The price of the Ozone will be $49.99 after a $70 mail-in rebate and a new contract. Availability is set for June 29 online and on July 13 in stores.
