SanDisk unveils 32GB SDHC class 10 card |
I have always stayed away from DSLRs that require any other storage medium other than SD or SDHC cards. Other types of storage cost more and are harder to find if you need a new card on the road. The only drawback is that many of the other storage mediums offered higher performance than SDHC or SD cards.
SanDisk has announced the world’s fastest 32GB SDHC card today. The card supports the new SD Association’s new Class 10 specification, which exceeds the performance needed for AVCHD recording cameras on the market today.
The card can record 160 minutes of full HD 1920 x 1080 video at a 24Mbps data transfer rate. SanDisk claims that the card has read and write speeds of 30Mbps. 32GB is enough storage space for 2500 RAW images, and the card can operate in a wide temperature range from 13F to 185F.
