Contact charging requires a direct connection between the phone and the power source(Metal on Metal). This product does not have that connection. It relies on a magnetic field to generate a current that recharges the phone. The pad merely serves as a visual indicator of where recharging can occur.

That’s not induction. This is contact charging. Huge difference!
