Coghlan’s Camper’s Kit in a Bottle is just what you need in these tough economic times, if you want to go camping but don’t want to break the bank buying all of the camping accessories. We checked it out for you to see if it’s something you really want to check out.
The Camper’s Kit in a Bottle includes: 1 liter shatter resistant polycarbonate bottle with carabiner attached, camper’s multi-tool, sheath, flashlight, first aid kit pack (includes first aid guide, multi sized bandages, gauze pads, alcohol pad, moleskin, travel towel and steel needle) and a poncho.
The bottle is pretty sturdy, so all of the stuff inside should be safe. The flashlight is a cheap plastic job requiring 2 AA batteries. It does the job on a typical camping trip. Nothing fancy.
The first aid kit is in a little packet. It includes a first-aid guide, multi sized bandages, gauze pads, alcohol pad, moleskin, travel towel and steel needle. Everything you need whether you’re Rambo or just some dude roasting marshmallows.
The multi-tool is of a decent quality when you consider how affordable they made this kit. It’s far from the best, but unlike some others it can actually be used in the field if you need it. It has pliers, knife, screwdriver and more.
The poncho is a joke as you might expect.
Bottom line: For $13, it’s a nice kit to have on hand for camping. You really can’t go wrong having one for emergencies. They should probably market it as a first-aid kit for your car while they are at it.
