Xbox 360 getting full-body motion control?

Xbox 360 getting full-body motion control? There’s a reason that Nintendo’s Wii has dominated this generation of consoles. Here’s a hint. It’s the Wii’s motion-sensing capabilities. Microsoft isn’t blind to this fact. And according to the latest rumor, they’re hard at work on a new system that will let you control games not just with a Wiimote, but with your entire body.

This add-on for the Xbox 360 includes a sensor bar that needs no controllers at all. Think about that for a second. You would be free to punch, kick, put some dude in a headlock etc. Sounds like a dream to us, and we have no idea how it would work, but who knows, maybe we will hear about it at E3 in June.

i think that it will work off of the same concept as when they have motion capture rooms and you wear the ping pong balls. but maybe it will be like wrist and ankle bands and a camera to sense your body outline. cool idea. they could make like plastic wiffle ball bats and light weight hockey sticks that it could sense so you could play sports games. and a plastic gun that could have vibration to aim. possibilites are unlimited because the xbox can process much more than the wii can.

The item in the picture looks like a device in development from PDP, which will have a controller similar to the Wii Remote that utilizes a sensor bar.

Huh! is it not nice when people copy stuff they want to degrade, NIntendo shall always be nintendo. Sega tried to no avail, guess who’s looking after sonic in his teen life. Like ford tried to copy Mercedes there is nothing better than the original.

  6. truthier Says:

truth, you are a dumbass. ‘nothing is better than the original’ is one of the most ignorant statements i’ve ever heard. what about the telephone? oh, and i guess the original xbox is way better than the xbox 360. hmm, nothing can be better than the original Nintendo right? why buy a wii?

microsoft isn’t copying nintendo. it sees that there is a demand for motion-capturing games, so it wants to develop something that satisfies the demand. this could be even better than the wiimote, too.

    you are an idiot.
