Posted in Review by Shane McGlaun on May 1st, 2009

ultimate_ears_700-sbThere is one universal truth when it comes to buying any brand of MP3 player, the stock earphones won’t be very good. The earphones that came with my iPhone were horrible. The sound quality was poor and they had no bass, and they slipped easily out of my ears. One of the best ways to make the music from your MP3 player sound better is by upgrading your earphones to a quality set. Today we are going to look at a high-end set of earphones that will work with any MP3 player out there called the Ultimate Ears 700 Noise Isolating Earphones. Read on for all the details on the Ultimate Ears 700 Noise Isolating Earphones.

EA announces new content for Need for Speed Undercover

Posted in EA by Shane McGlaun on May 1st, 2009

nfsundercoverI really like the EA Need for Speed franchise and I have played most every title in the franchise going back to when it first launched when I was a kid. I liked Need for Speed Pro Street, but I missed the police chase action. I was glad when Need for Speed Undercover went back to the franchises roots.

EA has announced that new content packs are now available for Undercover. Two packs are available with the Challenge Series pack being offered for free and adding 60 new events along with new game modes Highway Wars and Highway Checkpoint races and three new cars.

blueantq1-sbI have mentioned before that I am not a big fan of Bluetooth headsets. I think when you are driving in your car they are great. However, when you are walking around the mall or are in a restaurant you should just hold the phone up so we don’t all think you are talking to us until we see the Bluetooth headset in your ear.

I talked a bit about the feature packed BlueAnt Q1 headset last month. In case you missed that, the Q1 offers voice recognition programming and allows you to answer and end calls with voice commands.

Podio MP3 player connects to bicycle handlebars

Posted in Media Players by Shane McGlaun on May 1st, 2009

podio-sbI haven’t been into riding bikes since I was like 10. There are lots of people in my area though that are really into riding bikes. I always wonder how safe it is to ride a bike in a city while wearing an MP3 player that blocks your hearing. After all, they wouldn’t be able to hear all the rednecks shouting profanities at them.

A company from Taiwan has a new MP3 player designed for portability and use without headphones called the Podio. The device is fully integrated into an 88mm long cylinder-shaped micro speaker. The music player portion of the device has 2GB of internal storage.
