MSI X-Slim X400 and X600 coming soon

msix400-sbWhile I am not a big Mac fan, I admit that the design and thin profile of the MacBook Air was very cool. Still, it wasn’t cool enough to lure me into buying the overpriced machine and I hoped that other manufacturers would offer similarly sized Windows PC.

At CES 2009, I laid my eyes on the MSI X-Slim series that offers Air-like dimensions at a much lower price. MSI reportedly has two more X-Slim machines debuting soon called the X600 and the X400. The machines are thin and offer larger screen sizes for users wanting portability with more screen space.

The X-600 will have a 16-inch screen and the X-400 will have a 14-inch screen to complement the 13-inch X320 and X340 that have already been announced by MSI. I will say a thin and light 16-inch notebook is appealing. There is no word on pricing or availability at this time.

Come on people! Stop with that “overprice” crap already! Just compare your targeted mac with competition, and you’ll see if it is really overpriced. Just make sure you compare not only specs, but also class of the product. For example, comparing macs to vaio line should be fair enough.
