HP adds new Mini netbooks to lineup |
HP was late getting in on the netbook game. There were a number of netbooks already on the market before HP debuted its first machine. HP is now adding several more netbooks to its lineup in an effort to grab a larger portion of the booming netbook market.
Among the new HP Mini models being added to the lineup today are the HP Mini 110 XP Edition, the Mini 110 Mi Edition, and the HP Mini 1101. The Mini 110 is available in pink chic, black swirl, and white swirl colors. The Mini 1101 is available in black swirl only.
All three Mini models sport 10.1-inch screens, 92% full-size keyboards, and weigh in at 2.33 pounds. The Mini 110/1101 have either the Atom N270 or the N280 as CPU options. The Mini 110 XP edition has 1GB of RAM and a 32GB SSD or 160GB HDD and an optional HD video accelerator. The Mini 110 Mi edition runs Linux and has up to 2GB of RAM and 250GB HDD. The Mini 1101 can be had with XP Home, Pro, or Vista operating systems and a 6-cell optional battery. The machines will all be available by July.
