Samsung gives new camcorders Touch of Color treatment |
Most parents have a camcorder that they use to capture home movies of the kids and family events. Many kids use a camcorder to capture video of friends and themselves doing crazy stunts and generally acting goofy.
Samsung has announced a pair of new camcorders that are more for the parents than for kids looking for a cheap camcorder for YouTube uploads. The camcorders include the SMX-C14 and the SMX-C10. The two units are virtually identical with each offering the same ergonomic design and Touch of Color looks.
The cameras have 10x optical zoom with image stabilization and a swiveling 2.7-inch LCD. The cameras also feature the Samsung Active Angle Lens to help reduce fatigue during shooting. The difference between the two camcorder is that the C14 has 16GB of internal flash memory and can record to SD or SDHC cards while the C10 has only the SD/SDHC card to record to. Software for editing the video and images taken with the camera is included on the camera. The cameras will be available in July at undisclosed pricing.
