Plush Jobs will make everything alrightYou spend your days wishing and dreaming about new Apple products if you’re an Apple fanboy. The best way to insure that those wishes aren’t just floating aimlessly into the ether, is to get a plush Jobs. He will hold all of your wishes and desires as you snuggle him close. Don’t worry, his stubble isn’t scratchy.

And the next time some gadget blog disses Apple, just whisper sweet nothings to your little plush buddy(In between defending your Mac’s prowess in the comment section) and he will use his otherworldly voodoo mojo to silence those critics. The 17 inch doll is the perfect size to upset your wife as it sleeps between you both. Or if not married, he’ll be your surrogate wife.

Nokia E97 concept phone looks awesome

NokiaSexy, slim and sleek. This concept Nokia E97 by Fabien Nauroy gives new meaning to those words. It’s full of incredible attention to detail. The concept has a full keyboard in the “AZERTY” layout, with a small LCD screen just above the keyboard.

The most interesting part is the pull-out LED screen that can operate as a storage device, and make file and picture sharing a bit retro to balance out the modern. The idea is that you pull out a picture or a webpage and pass it around the old fashioned way.

Bill Gates’ Doom video from 1995

Posted in Microsoft by Conner Flynn on April 2nd, 2009

The above video for your enjoyment features Bill Gates, dressed in a black trench coat and carrying a shotgun, inside of the Doom game. Apparently it was a promotional type clip used to introduce Windows 95 and DirectX at the Microsoft Judgement Day event in 1995.

Basically Bill is in the game and wants to share his feelings about how Windows 95 and DirectX is ideal for playing PC games. DOS is too hard to use to play the games. At one point a Doom character shows up and gets blown off the screen(Not very convincingly) with Bill saying “Don’t interrupt me”.

UpCart turns shopping carts into rolling treesWe’ve seen a surprising amount of shopping cart inspired design here at the “Brick. Sometimes artists turn them into furniture, other times it’s more about real world grocery store innovation, like the design above. And let’s face it, the shopping cart needs an overhaul.

With the UpCart, shoppers could use their carts like a storage system. Put your heavy items near the bottom, lighter items on top. The design makes a lot of sense. The bins can be easily moved around in any position for easy access. This cart may even help prevent traffic jams on aisle four. Maybe.

faceiPhoto’s face detection may be better then we thought. Who could blame it for pointing out an adorable face in this batch of unbaked cookies. After all it has ears, eyes, a nose and a mouth. It looks like a delicious mutant teddy bear.

It’s nice to know that iPhoto isn’t prejudiced against non-human faces. I think I also see one that looks like Winston Churchill. In fact many of them look like lumpy fleshy old men. What will iPhoto spot next?
