Another Microsoft Laptop Hunters commercial |
Remember Lauren the actress from the first Laptop Hunters commercial? Well, she’s got her PC and is probably happily using it while a new guy by the name of Giampaulo goes shopping. If you thought the first ad hit the nail on the head and lit a fire, Giampaulo doesn’t mince words.
He calls himself “technically-savvy” and thinks that the unibody MacBook he looks at is “so sexy,” but ultimately he rejects it because he wants to pay for “computing power,” not the “brand.” Sound familiar? Many people feel that way.
He walks out with an HP HDX 16 that features a 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo, NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT graphics, 4GB of RAM, and a 500GB drive. And yes we noticed that he chose an HP. Just like Lauren. Conspiracy? You decide.

Conspiracy? lol. Sick fanboy.
First Lauren commercial was much better. Her commercial has “legs” she had the”I am just not cool enough to be a Mac person.”
HP conspiracy? Maybe, they are a huge MS Windows customer but they also have some very competitive laptops for the price.
These commercials suck…
lol!!! I love these ads, so real!
I thought it was actually a bit funny. Its not yelling at u and it isnt as preachy as the mac ads. its a good and DIFFERENT direction. good on ya microsoft… im still buying an imac though…
Nice choice-the Zune of computers.
even thought conficker was nothing, it still reminded people that Macs weren’t affected. except if you ran the windows environment on your mac…..so if there is a Mac “two mints in one” ad, Lauren will just look like a wannabe.
It is unfotunate that MS chose this as an example because there is a Ton of good hardware you can get that absolutley blows away anything apple offers for a good deal less. lol@conficker – I seem to remember at the latest hackfest that the Mac computer fell in what, about 20 seconds? Personally I will take the lower priced PC with better graphics, better choice in CPU, better CHOICE in everything and then run Windows, Linux, or whatever I choose on it. In reality, when you buy a Mac, you are paying all that extra money for the pretty box, and Mac OS so in the end all those ‘free’ great features that the Mac lovers tout are still costing you. Personally I love Macs, they are so easy to hack into and get anything out of, and the really great thing is all the Mac users think they are safe – too funny.
@krvitz:
conificker wasn’t aimed at macs because its userbase is statistically insignificant.
Cough.
I am still waiting for the Amiga laptop to come out.
