SuperHeadz Plamodel DIY 35mm cameraBuilding your own camera is one of the coolest DIY projects you can do. Sadly cameras are such complex beasts that if you are building anything other than a pinhole camera, it’s pretty impossible. Or is it?

SuperHeadz is offering an alternative in the form of a model camera that you can build from parts and then customize yourself. It’s like those old snap together model kits you had as a kid. But instead of a Ford or a Chevy, you’re building a plastic camera. Pretty neat.

New iPod shuffle requires adapter for third-party headphonesThe iPod Shuffle 3G isn’t a week old yet and Klipsch wants a piece of the action. They’re working on a set of earphones designed for the third-gen iPod shuffle. The revision will give users the same controls as Apple’s stock and In-Ear headphones, including triggering VoiceOver and switching playlists.

The feature set is still unknown but we’re talking a $100 price point. So the audio quality should be good. We hope. That shuffle sure is expensive if you don’t like the stock headphones.

Dark Ops Wii light gun

Dark Ops Wii light gunHere’s a Wii light gun that looks alien and lethal at the same time. The Dark Ops Wii Light Gun peripheral lets you kill on screen beings in style. We’ve seen our share of wii guns, but this one has a form factor that is a departure.

One major drawback is that it would be a pain to reach the D-pad. But at least it looks different compared to standard plastic Wii guns. It’s for people who want to play Wii games with alien looking guns for no real reason other than to look cool.

Panasonic RISAIKURA MS-N53 RecyclerPanasonic gets all green with its RISAIKURA MS-N53 recycler device. The device relies on a special platinum-palladium catalyst to break down up to 2kg of organic garbage into compost with the help of some heat. It’s great for those with gardens as you’ll be able to use the compost in your garden.

Panasonic is making some big claims as to the quality of their compost. According to them, the created compost is superior to store-bought fertilizer. The Panasonic RISAIKURA MS-N53 recycler has a few settings to choose from, depending on how dried out your garbage is, ranging from three to six hours. The shorter option will give the compost more protein, while the longer option is more suitable for long-term fertilization of trees.
