Motorola VE465 clamshell is built toughMotorola introduced its VE465 semi-rugged clamshell handset, available on Alltel’s website. But there’s no word on pricing details just yet. Those living in Canada can check out the VE465 on Telus if inclined, where it shall be known as the “Motorola VE465 Active Edition”.

Some specs include: CDMA 800/1900/1700/2100 connectivity, 1.9″ TFT internal display with 176 x 220 pixels and 65k colors, 1.05″ CSTN external display with 96 x 80 pixels, Brew OS, Stereo Bluetooth, Music/video player, 1.3 megapixel camera, USB 2.0, and a microSD memory card slot.

We aren’t exactly falling out of our chairs with excitement over this one, but if you’re looking for a rugged and reliable flip, you may want to have a closer look.

Love the design! I suppose it was targeted at guys but I really like it :)
I just found tons of video tutorials on Motorola’s RAZR v3 (that I own) on http://www.HandBookLive.com I hope the new phone will have tutorials there too, because I would hate to learn all the new functions - I have just finally figured out how to use mine after watching the handbooklive videos - there are lots of chapters on just about anyhting. What a great idea! I got more out of these videos than I did out of talking to the real person at T-Mobile who sold me the Motorola phone but had no idea how to use it.
This new design is much better! I wish I waited to buy the RAZR v3… it only came in grey and pink from T-Mobile.
