Gota countertop dishwasher |
A small dishwasher like this makes no sense. The Gota was specially designed for families who have no children or singles who live alone, but if you have that few dishes to wash, why not save your counter space and do it by hand?
I personally don’t get it. The pre-wash cycle fills the dishwasher with steam, while recycling the cooled down residual water for future cycles. That part at least is good for water conservation. The body is made from ABS polycarbonate which can store enough water for one round of cleaning.
Does this appeal to any of you?

In my opinion, you buy a dishwasher only if you have a lot of dishes or a big familly. I live with my girlfriend and we usually have 3 plates, 1 or 2 pans, fork and knifes. In 5 minutes everything is done. Who doesn’t have 5 minutes must get up early.
You have to take yourself out of your own head to think about why people would want this. I hate, hate, HATE doing dishes. I’d rather clean the toilet or wash windows than do dishes. I just don’t like sticking my hands in soapy water like that, even with gloves on. Each person has their own chore preferences and you might like to do dishes more than some others.
As opposed to efficiency, it’s been shown that the amount of water necessary for dishwashers is typically less than doing a good cleaning job on dishes.
Dishwashers use less water and get the dishes cleaner (in terms of microbes) than handwashing.
And in terms of counter space, currently I have a drying rack on my counter. If I bought this, it would probably take up the same space and I could use it as a drying rack when i’m not washing.
