gCubik: A 3D TV in a cube |
Japan’s National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT for short) has announced the development of an interesting device called the gCubik. The gCubik allows you to visualize objects in three dimensions through its integrated imaging technology.
Essentially you have a box with six screens, that simulates a 3D object inside, that is also interactive via touchscreens. The institute is looking at commercializing the gCubik for use in business, science and of course gaming. Check out a video below.
I’d like to this cube in about 2 years time. It will be interesting to see how many uses they can come up with for it.
