Budfits provide a cheap earbud alternative for the iPod Shuffle 3G |
So you like the new iPod Shuffle 3Gs voiceover function, but you hate earbuds. It would be nice if you could use any pair of headphones you wanted, but sadly the device is controlled by proprietary headphones, because Apple is greedy. Sadly third party headphones will cost you as much as the Shuffle itself.
What to do? Well, don’t be a sucker. You can get one over on Jobs and his cronies for only $8.99. BudFits convert your earbuds into headphones that won’t keep slipping out of your ears. They just snap in and you enjoy your music without having to buy Steve another yacht.

Let me start by saying that I’m not an audiophile however, the standard iPod earbuds do not fit comfortably in my ear. There is a way around this. I found a company called “Earsound Customs” at http://www.earsound.com. They make an iPod attachment so that my iPod earbuds snap onto these attachments which are actually custom molds of my ears made from an ear impression. The impression process took 10 minutes and was performed at a local hearing professional’s office. The comfort is unparalleled. There was also an unintended benefit which is my cell phone’s hands free device also snaps into my iPod attachments so I can listen to my phone calls comfortably. Without question, this is a more expensive option then the “budfits” but budfits do not address the problem for me which is the earbud itself doesn’t fit in my ear. Hope this helps!
Well, that didn’t take long. Why would Apple do this, when lots of companies will spring up to fill the void of proprietary anything? Silly Apple.
Well i like the ipod 3g shuffle. But the headphones didnt fit in my ears right. but i got budfits and they worked great. especially since those headphones are the only ones it the market. Very nice invention.
