HTC has unveiled its latest mobile handsets at MWC 2009 in Spain with the unveiling of its Touch Diamond 2 and the Touch Pro2 handsets. Both handsets use Windows Mobile with the TouchFLO 3D interface. TouchFLO 3D promises to make navigating Windows Mobile easier that using the OS alone.

The Diamond2 features a 3.2-inch widescreen VGA display and is only 13.7mm thick. Other features include touch-sensitive zoom and a 5MP camera along with expandable memory, a gravity sensor, and an ambient light sensor. Battery life is promised to be 50% better with the Diamond2.

How many gadgets have we seen fall to the mighty Swarovski crystal? Too many. Here’s another to lament or rejoice about depending on your point of view. Perfect for the aspiring glam-rock star, (Or any 13 year old girl) these come in several different variations and allow for plenty of customization. In fact, it might help to become a successful rock star before you purchase these expensive microphones.

The Sennheiser mics come in one-color, two-color, and multi-color versions. With the two-color and multi-color you get to choose the colors and specify the design. The multi-color design can hold up to 2,300 shiny crystals. There’s even a 6 month warranty on the crystals (Because they know they are going to fall off like the cheap crap they are) and it could take 1-4 weeks to actually place the crystals on the mic.

The Early Bird alarm clock from Fred & Friends will wake you up gently with the sounds of birdsong. The little bird icon even glows, like some sweet avian angel of addiction, subtly reminding you that Twitter awaits on the intertubez.

This bird themed alarm is easy to set and comes with automatic snooze. Which I suppose beats a shotgun sound effect to quiet those birds.

This guy decided to turn himself into a Game Boy. He used a bunch of cardboard and a laptop is hidden inside that controls the screen. As you might expect and as he states himself, it’s a pretty fragile setup, but well worth it.

It even has the sound effects. The sad thing is that while in the Game Boy suit he can’t play himself. He can only watch others enjoy a game of Tetris. Pretty cool costume. You have to love Game Boy a whole lot to turn yourself into a walking handheld.

Who knew that Wall-E ran on Windows XP? That’s how modder Jonathan Berg enviosioned it when he put together this Wall-E PC mod that features a 7-inch touchscreen monitor inside his boxy stomach.

He did a great job with detail, but it’s kinda shocking to see the bot looking so clean and brand new. Wall-E is made from custom cut Plexiglas, the arms from Logitech speakers, and even sports a webcam behind his eyes. Even cooler, he’s even been outfitted with voice recognition software, so his master can command him by voice.

We’ve seen some pretty impressive Lego creations. Whether it’s the Lego Uzi, the Lego Playstation, or the old Lego safe, one thing is for sure. We love playing with Legos.

This functional LEGO house is a working computer. But the amount of detail that went into it is simply stunning. You could look at it all day and still find more things that you missed. Sadly, the display was not given the LEGO treatment. Hit the link below for a video.

The Paul Frank monkey is almost as pervasive as Hello Kitty. I’m not sure which to fear more. But I know that one day they will fight it out Aliens VS. Predator style and we will then know our new master.

Until that day, the merchandising train keeps rolling along. This Paul Frank Monkey shaped mobile phone is not an official product. It’s a clamshell phone with one eye that works as camera. It’s a pretty basic phone that features a 1.6 inch TFT display screen, 1.3-megapixel camera, FM radio, Bluetooth, music player, stereo speakers and a microSD expansion slot.

If the above picture is to be believed, Sony Ericsson will soon be releasing a new swivel QWERTY called the “Reese” that features one-click access to all of “your favorite networking sites.” There aren’t many other details beyond this.

Therefore, we aren’t quite sold just yet. The large portrait screen would allow you to view several messages of any one kind in HD. If it exists, it’s too early to pin down an OS, but it is possible it could be Windows Mobile or even Android. But honestly if this is real, it isn’t that exciting.

Sony Ericsson unveiled Idou today, it’s new high-end device, which runs a Symbian operating system. Idou features a 12.1 Megapixel camera, xenon flash and a large 16:9 touch-screen. Looks like a real winner.

As of now the Idou has no model name, but will be available in selected markets from the second half of 2009. The official website just launched.

According to SamsungCentral, Samsung’s newly announced OmniaHD will be the world’s first cellphone to record 720p video. It will have a 3.7-inch AMOLED screen, which should be decent for the HD content it will record.

That’s really about all we know if you take their word for it. It likely also has GPS, Wi-Fi, plenty of built-in storage and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Those are basic features, after all. No word on what OS it will run, but we would like to get one of these in hand.

If you’ve ever dreamed of being a Jedi and having the ability to move objects with your mind, your dreams are about to come true. Mindflex is the new mental acuity game from Mattel, arriving this fall. It may not let you lift an X-Wing out of a Dagobah swamp, but you will be able to move a ball with the power of your mind.

A lightweight headset with sensors measures your brainwave activity. When you focus your concentration, a small foam ball will rise on a gentle stream of air. Relax your mind and the ball will drop. It’s not just mental, there’s also some physical stuff involved as you try to guide the ball through a customizable obstacle course.

Snobootz work like a jacket that you wrap around your tires. They have metal cleats that can dig into ice, and the maker claims that they are easier to put on and remove than chains. The doughnut-shaped casing of laminated fabrics is smoother and lighter than chains, so once fitted, the rubber composite design is safe on your tires.

You’ll pay for the design though. They are available for $200 to $250 each. Then again if they keep you from freezing your butt off, they are well worth it.

If you tune into the Simpsons tonight, you’ll be in for a special treat. The visuals will be sharper. Bart’s butt will be crisper, should he bare it. Barney’s puke chunkier. You may even find that Homer has an extra strand of hair you didn’t know about. Springfield will come to life like never before as the show will be presented in HD for the very first time.

In honor of that fact, the show’s intro is getting a makeover. It’s longer and more HD-a-riffic. They’ve basically added about a minute as the family chases down their couch.

This “Meet Pre” video still has us lusting after the device. It demonstrates some interesting features, like a list of people invited to a meeting and which ones will be going, calendar and contacts and the phone is shown “sending” a webpage to a friend by forwarding a link and an attached .png screenshot.

We will likely hear more about the phone this week at MWC. With more enthusiasm, we hope. Though informative, this video will easily put you to sleep.

Here’s a great redneck way to listen to your favorite tunes. Preferably outdoors, where you aren’t poking holes in the wall. But if you have to sit in the woods while rocking out, be careful that some hunter doesn’t take a shot at you, otherwise you and your headphones will end up on his trophy wall looking like the lovechild of Bambi and Elton John.

More likely you’ll just wear these around town at night and it will lead to reports of strange sightings of a new man-beast with antlers.
