What The Flip? video camcorder MinoFlip video recently teamed up MTV and gave away 100 of these little Flip camcorders to 100 college students around the country and asked them to create footage based on different themes provided by MTV. 1. Alex Says:

Theme: A comparison of the events following consumption of “food” at drive-thru “restaurants.” Subjects will be college students. Many thanks to McDonald’s, Taco Bell, Burger King, Arby’s, Chipotle, White Castle, Popeye’s, KFC, and Chick Fil-A.

  2. Tara H. Says:

Not sure whether you wanted us to use MTV’s themes, or invent our own, but if I had to use one of theirs, I’d pick “If I Could Change 1 Thing About The World”, and shoot a video about non-profit community clinics. Thanks!

  3. Brett Says:

The theme would be “Growing Up” This would be a fantastic way for us to take spontaneous videos of our 21-month old daughter’s cute moments (or possible future bribery fodder) as she grows up. :)

  4. MacBernac Says:

Theme: Small-town happenings. I’d vid the stuff that’s newsworthy in the small town I live in and link it w/the local media. Would like to do a video collage of life here in town.

  5. pete Says:

fantastic little idea “last Dream” if I won a flip camera!
    Brilliant!

  6. Rico Says:

Theme: Growing Up: A transitional piece about growing up in a Rivertown and how everything has changed from when you were a kid to now an adult… Includes humor, alot of trees and a van down by the river… College kids and this video! :)

  7. Techie_Jr. Says:

I like the idea of filming something for the “If I could change the world” theme. I’d really like to create an abstract representation of this theme with a Flip.

  8. Julianne B Says:

My theme would be “How to Drive your Mother Insane in Less than 24 Hours!” It would be an intriguing documentary of how my multitude of children have secretly been bribed by the government to drive me insane in order to keep me from having too much time on my hands and forwarding the conspiracy theories that fill my email inbox. ;)

  9. Ashish A Says:

My theme would be “Growing Up” and I would shoot a video about the adults (so called ‘grown ups’) and the childish things they do in their everyday life that hurt the feelings of the people around them. Also, might feature how would a ‘NOT so Grown up’ might behave in the scenarios. The main focus will be to underline the point of really ‘Growing Up’ and make the relationships one is in to turn into more beautiful and cherishable ones.

  10. K.Clarkson Says:

my theme, looking at zombies in our everyday life. the people just goin through the motions, not really livin, not really taking advantage of whats around us. the living “dead”. then them going outside their comfort zones and outside their everyday lives and finally living.

  11. kyle3fan Says:

I would give the camera to my 11 year old son and have him make a video of a week in the life of a 5th grader in small town America. Then save it and show it to him after his college years to show him how things had changed over time.

  12. Christophe K. Says:

When I win this WTF I will use it to create “The Day After…” the inauguration. With the historical event of my life time, and quite possibly the United States’, filming the after mark of this event would be fitting to be captured by another historical item–What The Flip. Capturing a video montage of expressions by the student, working class, elderly, young and all races would be my theme.
