For a long time Lenovo only went after the business notebook and desktop market in America. The computer maker offered some consumer focused systems in its native China though. Last year Lenovo brought its consumer-focused machines to the U.S. and the firm has now introduced its latest consumer focused desktop systems for America.

Lenovo has announced its new K series desktop computer line. The IdeaCenter K220 is one of the new systems and offers Lenovo’s VeriFace security that allows users to login by facial recognition. The feature requires a compatible monitor and webcam. The machine can be optioned with Intel Core 2 Quad CPUs, up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM, and a Blu-ray drive.

The IdeaCenter K230 can have up to 8GB of RAM, Core 2 Quad processors, Blu-ray and more. Both machines have DirectX 10 graphics compatibility. A budget system called the H200 was also announced that is for users only needing to check email and surf the web. The K220 and K230 systems will retail for $449 and $499 respectively starting on January 20. The H200 bundled with a L195 LCD will retail for $399.99.
