Acer introduces new business laptops |
I am surprised that days after CES 2009 ended Acer is announcing new notebooks. Perhaps the computer firm feared that launching a couple machines that lack any really compelling features during the show would have meant they went unnoticed.
The two new machines are the TravelMate 6593 and the TravelMate 6493. Both of the notebooks can be used with the new Acer ezDock II or II+ for easy docking in the office or at home. Both machines share the same 1280 x 800 resolution as well.
The 6593 uses an Intel Core 2 Duo T9500, a 15.4-inch screen, 4GB of RAM, Intel GMA 4500 MHD graphics, DVD burner, 802.11n Wi-Fi and more. The 6493 offers a Core 2 Duo T8400 CPU, 14.1-inch screen, 3GB of RAM, 250GB HDD, 802.11n Wi-Fi, and more. Pricing for the 6593 is $1499 with the 6493 running $1099 to $1299.
