Z-Nano is the world’s smallest Mouse

Z-Nano is the world’s smallest MouseThe Z-Nano is truly the world’s smallest mouse. It measures just 42mm (1.65″) x 21mm (0.83″) x 17.65mm (0.69″), it’s not much bigger than it’s attached USB cable or your fingertip. The cable even clips into the mouse itself with a powerful magnet for easy storage.

It even features a slot that you can use to slip in your own tiny photo to personalize the mouse. You’ll need to squint to see it. The world’s smallest mouse will cost you $60 and it will make your hand feel all weird and lonely, while your finger does all the work.

What are the odds they make a skateboard version like those finger boards the kids are all using for finger sports.

So Small and Cute ….. ;-)

I managed to buy one online from Hi-Tech Distribution in UK about a month back and have been using it with my HP mini 1000 ever since.
It is very small (about half the size of my thumb) and extremely handy. Even though I have rather big hands, the forward (for Left click) and backward (for Right click) clicking is pretty intuitive. In fact, it works well even with two fingers to manipulate it. ie. people with fingers twice the size of mine (not many around) can still use it with relative ease. It took me maybe ten minutes to reorientate myself, and after a while you get the hang of it. It acts like a see-saw, with the pivot in the middle, and it is akin to switching the wall switches ON and OFF.
The trick is not the grip the mouse, like what I usually do with my desktop mouse. Simply let the other 4 fingers comfortably rested on the table, with only the index finger on the mouse. Slide along the table to move the cursor. Most of the time, I work on the area next to my touchpad, as I find the slightly elevated fingers makes it more relaxing to use.
I used to have a small mouse with the retractable mechanism. But after about 3-4 months, the wires could not retract anymore! By typing the cables together and then snapping the connector to the mouse using a magnet, it is a neat and clever way of keeping those messy wires, without those unreliable retractable gadget.
The specs are also quite impressive. You can change the sensitivity level from 100dpi to 1600 dpi, just like a gaming mouse. And I slot in my little girl’s photo or any other photos into the mouse! Cool idea.
Personally, I think this little mouse is a must-have gadget for business travellers like me.
If you have ever used those touchpads on the ultra-mini notebooks, you would definitely want this small mouse!
