Turtle Beach PX1 HeadphonesHeadphones can be a gamer’s best friend. They let you play your games as loud as you want, at night, without waking up other people in the house. Many gamers are also able to hear better with headphones and pick up positional audio cues not heard with external speakers.

Turtle Beach makes headphones for just about everything and the firm has announced a new set of headphones for PS3 gamers called the Ear Force PX1. These headphones include a USB sound card and a 16-foot cable to allow the gamer to sit farther away from the console.

For PS3 owners that also own an Xbox, an adapter is available to let the PX1 headphones work with the Xbox 360 and the USB sound card is PC compatible. A built-in mic lets user’s voice chat and use VOIP in compatible games. The headphones are available now for $79.95.
