This one isn’t rumored to surface at all and we don’t expect to see it at MacWorld 2009. It should arrive eventually though, just because it is well thought out and just makes sense. This concept was born because Mat Brady wants to get rid of his Nokia N95 but won’t buy an iPhone due to the lack of a physical keyboard, no good camera, and not enough storage.
Mat’s concept is called the iPhone Elite. It’s an iPhone with 60GB of storage, true 16:9 aspect ratio, slide-out keyboard, one megapixel front camera for iChat, and another high quality camera, with better lenses, optical zoom, and video capability.
If you ask me that’s a pretty sweet design. It’s a shame that Apple will take it’s good old time perfecting the iPhone, dragging out the process so they can rake in more nerd dough.

i love the proposed iphone elite with keyboard. i could not agree more with the need for iphone to have this as an option. now if only it were already available.

I don’t mind the touch keyboard at all, it took a few days to get used to but its awesome. With the 3.0 software, texting in landscape is even easier, you can get a taste of it when you type in things in the internet in landscape
i am really astonished about the new iphone but im hoping the could exchange the 3g iphone for the new iphone when its released!!!
