This breakthrough is completely MISREPRESENTED and very incorrect. He did not improve battery life by 12X… he reduced radio power consumption, which will make a small dent in battery life… a small dent, nowhere near 12x.

Incredible. To get a 12X improvement in battery life, the iPhone, as designed, would have to have less than an 8% efficiency in delivering power to the antenna that is improved to 100% efficiency with a loss-less wireless design. For cars this is the equivalent of going from 25 to 300 miles per gallon by making a change to the muffler. Fantastic.

yes, they would hire him. just because it advances the battery life – does not mean that the battery doesn’t eventually die. this would give the iPhone yet another reason why it is the best
