Why does anyone need a $99 iphone? Your monthly bill is probably going to cost you more than that! If you are to cheap to buy a phone for $199 then how in the hell are you going to pay your $100+ bill each month!

All these iphone rumors are killing me. Just because AT&T are selling the refurbished iphone for $99.00 does not give any reason a 32 GB is on the way. Hell all refurbished phones are sold at a lower price, it’s refurbished for crying out loud! One thing people don’t realize is the ipod touch can hold two flash drives, which is the reason it comes in a 32 GB model “16GB X 16GB”. The iphone can only hold one. Steve Jobs said himself, they could come out with a 32GB iphone but it would be too expensive, like $800.00. Then everyone would be whining about the price. Once the 32GB flash drives are sold at lower prices, I can see the 32GB iphone coming out then, probably around the end of Q2 2009 or so. So I say we all just sit back and let Apple surprise us instead of throwing rumors around.

Bet they will skip 32GB. Samsung I believe is rumored to have 256GB SSD so I would assume Apple will have either 64GB or 128GB this year.

The extra storage is key to making the phone a genuine multi-platform tool. Video and music to carry w/ you, and email capabilities that allow for attachments so you can really make it your mobile hub.

it’s ridiculous that the iphone and the ipod lines do not have a slot for a microSDHC card,of which the theoretical upper threshold for memory is ONE terabyte! A major flaw in the design if you ask me.

Or you could just add an SD card slot… and rather than needing a whole new dang phone you could… UPGRADE your phone’s memory.

I know apple doesn’t like that word… I mean, it kills their overhead. Imagine what would happen to poor poor Apple if iPhone batteries were user replaceable… or if you could (like other smart phones) upgrade the memory via a micoSD… but I guess that would keep people from buying brand new phones and tossing the old ones out (or returning them to AT&T so they can make double cash by selling the refurbished unit.)

8, 16, 32 gb Ipod Classic…
8, 16 gb Iphone… what’s missing here?

There’s obviously no technical reason for not having a 32 gb option, I’m sure it’s been a marketing decision so far. SO, I’d put money on a 32 gb one showing up this year.
