If August came and went and you weren’t able to get your hands on the Rock Band Stage Kit for the Xbox 360, maker PDP promises that the strobe light and smoke machine kit will be available starting in at the end of the month. I’m a big fan of Rock Band, but I’m not sure I could look myself in the mirror if I actually used this thing. It’s just a little too geeky for me and I am a professional geek.

If you think you can look at your own reflection after rocking out with smoke and flashing lights in your own living room, the kit will set you back $99. PDP says this time the kit will be available on October 26. What you get for your C-note is a fog machine and a strobe light kit.

The strobe plugs into the Xbox 360 and synchronizes the light to the music. I’m not sure why PS2, PS3, or Wii Rock Band fans don’t get their own Stage Kit. The good news for Xbox 360 Rock Band fans is that the Stage Kit works with the original game and Rock Band 2. I have to wonder what’s next on the Rock Band accessory front; maybe Rock Band bats to bite the head off or maybe inflatable Rock Band groupies that flash their hooters in time to the music.
