Thrustmaster cuts wire from Wiimote to Nunchuk

Thrustmaster T-Nchuk Wireless Adapter NWMost people would prefer wireless gear to similar wired gear. I can think of a few exceptions to that though, namely PC gaming gear like keyboards and mice. However, when it comes to console gaming wireless is where it’s at.

Take the Nintendo Wii, the Wiimote is wireless so what’s with the wire from the Nunchuk to the Wiimote? I’m not alone in wondering that and Thrustmaster has announced a solution to the problem called the T-Nchuk Wireless Adapter NW.

The wireless Nunchuk will be available in October and is powered by three AAA batteries. The wireless transmitter connects to the Nunchuk port on the Wiimote and uses 2.4GHz technology for connectivity. Thrustmaster promises 50 hours of play with the batteries. Thrustmaster says the weight balance is very good and a LED on the base shows when connected to the wireless adapter. The best part is that it will retail for only $24.99. The Thrustmaster device is much larger looking than the similar Nyko device.
