ION Drum Rocker for Rock Band 2 available

Posted in Controllers, Games by Shane McGlaun on September 15th, 2008

ION Drum RockerRock Band has proven to be one of the most successful games in the music genre. This weekend the Xbox 360 version of Rock Band 2 launched and brought with it new accessories for the game. One of the coolest is a new drum kit from ION.

The ION Drum Rocker for the Xbox 360 is now available. The kit has an all-metal bass pedal and can have up to three cymbal pads attached to it for a more realistic drumming experience. The kit can also support a second bass pedal.

The cymbal pads and drumheads are all velocity sensitive and the cymbals can be assigned to different colors. The kit is fully customizable and promises to be much sturdier than the drum kit that was available for the original Rock Band game. For those who tire of Rock Band, the kit can be upgrade to a real drum kit with the addition of a drum brain. ION’s Drum Rocker retails for $299.99 and can be used with Rock Band and Rock Band 2. A PS3 version of the kit will launch with the PS3 version of the game.
