CardScan Executive for Mac

CardScan, a maker of business card scanners and related software, is going Mac as it unveils a package which includes Mac specific contact management software. This package is called CardScan Executive for Mac and it will price around $260.

CardScan says this new package includes a business card scanner that reads cards in color at a rate of up to 20 cards a minute. The software uses the company’s “proprietary interpretive technology that understands many nuances of contact information” to try and accurately populate data from both scanning cards and consolidating contact information from electronic files.

CardScan has designed the software as well for other functions, such as printing customized contact lists, viewing business card images in image view and mapping contact information. Existing users of Version 8 CardScan Executive, according to CardScan, can download the new Mac version at no charge.
