ATI Radeon HD 4550 and HD 4350 introduced

ATI HD 4550In the world of consumer, video cards there are only two options when it comes to discrete video cards — NVIDIA and ATI. NVIDIA is the market leader in discrete video cards, but ATI is working hard to take that market share away.

ATI’s latest attempt at grabbing the gamer’s dollars is the ATI Radeon HD 4550 and HD 4350 video cards. ATI says the cards are based on the award winning 4800 series cards. The HD 4550 will retail starting from $55 and promises to play games that were unplayable at this price range before. The card features 512MB of RAM.

ATI uses 80 Stream processors in the 4550 and it offers 96 GFLOPS of processing power. The HD 4350 starts form only $39 and has 256MB of RAM. The 4350 consumes under 20W of power at full load and features 7.1 channel audio out vie HDMI.
