Sylvania G Netbook

Sylvania - that’s right, Sylvania - is geared up to release a low cost notebook to the masses. The new G Netbook will reportedly cost around $400 starting.

The Sylvania G Netbook, according to Sylvania, will make use of Intel’s new Atom processor. A 7-inch display model is reportedly already available, with 8.9- and 10-inch models set to follow soon. The newer Netbook models will let consumers choose from either Linux-based gOS or Microsoft XP operating systems.

Other features, mentioned in the specs for the 7-inch model, include 1GB of RAM, up to four hours of battery life, a 30GB hard drive, 802.11b/g and an integrated Web cam.
