Olympus SP-565 UZ

Olympus is taking its powerful SP-570 UZ digital camera and slightly downsizing its dimensions to create the SP-565 UZ. This digital camera with a 20x wide-angle telephoto zoom lens (26-520mm equivalent) is priced around $400.

The SP-565 UZ, besides being smaller and lighter than its predecessor, also sports 10 million pixels, dual image stabilization, face detection of up to 16 faces, shadow adjustment technology and preview of shots on the camera’s LCD screen before taking the photo. This 10-megapixel shooter includes as well manual controls and some 33 different shooting modes. It will be available in October.
