Motorola ROKR EM30Motorola has been chasing the success that it had with the Razr for years now. Since the Razr was the hot thing, Motorola hasn’t enjoyed as much success as it hoped. Today Motorola has announced three new handsets in its ROKR line that it is hoping will be popular.

The ROKR EM30 is the top-of-the-line for the new handsets. The EM30 uses Motorola ModeShift technology to illuminate the keyboard. When in phone mode the keys are blue and when in music mode, the keys are red allowing users to tell at a glance what mode they are in. Other features of the phone include a FM radio with RDS 4 technology and compatibility with Windows Media Player 11.

The ROKE EM28 is a clamshell design phone that has touch sensitive music control keys that only appear when in music mode. The front display of the phone shows artist and track info without opening the phone up and music can be sent to the device via USB. The EM28 also has 3D sound effect to give music a surround sound quality.

The ROKR EM25 has a built-in FM tuner with RDS 4 technology and dedicated music keys. The handset has FMSHARE technology allowing users to send a text to other phones with a favorite radio station. SONGID is integrated to allow a tune on radio to be identified and then purchased and downloaded. All three new handsets will sell alongside the ROKR E8 already available. All three new handsets will be available in this quarter and the beginning of the next.
