Lenovo is dipping its toes into what it terms the “netbook” market by unveiling a new Intel Atom-based notebook PC. It is called the Lenovo IdeaPad S10 and pricing begins at around $400.

The Lenovo IdeaPad S10, besides sporting the Atom processor, offers up a 10.2-inch screen which is housed in a body that’s around one-inch thin and just over two pounds. It is available in three body colors - white, black, red - and has a keyboard Lenovo says is 85 percent the size of a regular one.

Features of the Lenovo IdeaPad S10 include LED backlighting on the display, wireless 802.11, Express Card slot, a built-in Web cam and two USB ports. It should be available come November.
