Gateway P-7811FX Gaming NotebookGateway has been busy introducing several affordable gaming notebooks over the last year so. Typically, when you think about a gaming notebook, you’re talking about spending thousands of dollars to get the privilege of playing games on a notebook. Gateways FX series of gaming notebooks have been able to deliver the bulk of the performance of high-end and very expensive gaming notebooks — from the likes of Alienware in Dell — at a much cheaper price.

Gateway has announced its latest value priced FX edition notebook called the P-7811FX. This notebook is the first Gateway gaming notebook to feature the new Intel Centrino 2 processor technology. In addition to gaming, Gateway says this notebook is also great for entertainment as well as editing digital photos and video.

The notebook is chock-full of high-performance features including NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GTS graphics with 512 MB of GDDR3 video memory and an Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 processor running at 2.26 GHz with a 3 MB L2 cache and 1066 MHz front side bus. The notebook uses a 17-inch widescreen LCD with a 1920 x 1200 resolution. Other features include 4 GB of RAM, 200 GB hard drive, DVD burner with LabelFlash technology, eSATA port, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, HDMI v1.3 out, and more. The notebook is available now at Best Buy for $1399.99.
