Nomad Electric Guitar folds up

Nomad Electric Guitar folds up
So you have to get to your gig, which requires you to lug your guitar through the streets, maybe on a bus or two. It’s a real hassle, man. When are they gonna realize that you rock and give you that super amazing record deal? I mean you beat the hell out of Guitar Hero.

The Nomad electric guitar won’t get you noticed by labels, but it can make your life easier by being very portable. Other guitar makers tried making a guitar that folds once, but it can still be awkward. The neck on the Electric Nomad folds twice. The guitar is a competition size electric ax with all the regular features. It just folds up to half its normal size. The neck folds, and the strings roll up on a spool.

Monster Beetle hits the road

Monster Beetle hits the road
My first question is how do you get in this thing without a step ladder? My second question is why. As to why, well, this is what happens when an aircraft engineer has a 1968 VW Beetle a lot of time.

Sure, you’ve got your Bigfoots and your Hummers, but there’s just something about seeing a VW Beetle this high off the ground that pleases us. It’s got a new 2.8 Liter engine, which should give it a nice power to weight ratio. It will turn heads so fast you’ll hear the collective cracking of neck bones.

Emirates Airline announces in-flight showers
The newest addition to in-flight luxuries are in-flight showers. Obviously, it’s great for the businessman on the go. You could arrive at your destination squeaky clean. Emirates airline has just announced their ‘shower spas’ facility for first-class passengers(Of course) in their new superjumbo A380 Airbus.

Yes, the plane really carries enough water for all 14 First Class passengers to have five-minute showers, so don’t worry they won’t be recycling anything nasty. Each shower has been designed to accommodate just one person at a time, but I’m sure the mile-high club just got an upgrade. Other premium services include 14 flat-bed, massage-equipped ‘Private Suites’, each of which include remote controlled doors, work desk, electrically controlled mini-bar and an entertainment system. Nice!

Modified Pikachu instruments freak us out

Modified Pikachu instruments freak us out
Some find Pikachu to be extremely cute. Me, I’ve always been on the fence about that. What you will see in the 2 accompanying videos, knocked me off the fence and made me run for my life. This is not cute. It’s creepy in the way that clowns are creepy.

That spiky cyborg Pikachu seems to be the ringleader and was apparently recently assimilated into the Pikachu collective. As for the rest of them and the music they make together, complete with seizure inducing flashing eyes… I just wish I had never seen it. This is just totally warped. And yet you can’t look away.

Gentleman, we can rebuild it: New iPod to be taller, skinnier

Gentleman, we can rebuild it: New iPod to be taller, skinnierAccordng to iLounge, this year’s iPod nano will have a larger screen than the current generation offers and will be more like a Zune. It will have the same 1.5:1 widescreen aspect ratio that the iPhone and iPod touch enjoys.

Something obviously needs to be done to fit that screen in right? That’s why they are giving it the shape of the older models, which will seem really weird at first glance. It seems like a step backwards, upping the size, but what they are after is usability.

Google Maps

It happens to practically all useful Web sites at some point – they get a makeover designed to make them even more useful. While not every appreciates a makeover, it can at least make the online real estate look clear. Such is the case of the redone Google Maps.

Google says with the Maps look you can do what youv’e done before, including find businesses, addresses and “more” from one search box. The map has also apparently been made bigger and it is reportedly now easier to get to full screen maps.

As the video shows, you can display movies and even play one freaky game of pong. Imagine all of the uses this thing could have.
