Lenovo debuts new consumer-focused desktop PC

Lenovo IdeaCentre K210

Lenovo recently introduced its first consumer desktop PC outside of China. It is called the Lenovo IdeaCentre K210 and pricing starts at around $380 post rebate, depending upon configuration.

The Lenovo IdeaCentre K210, which doesn’t ship with a monitor, is powered by an Intel Core 2 Quad processor and Intel GMA 3100 integrated graphics. It also offers the option of a Blu-ray/HD-DVD combo drive and 5.1 surround sound support.

Other features of the K210 include the option to upgrade to an ATI Radeon 2600 XT, technology for detecting how far away a user is from the monitor and adjusting the brightness accordingly and facial recognition technology for logging into the computer. It is available now.
