For that amount you get an Intel Celeron CPU, 1GB of RAM and a 160GB HDD. If you need more performance the eMachines T5374 retails for $399.99 and features a Intel Celeron dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM and a 320GB HDD.

Those looking for a complete package deal with a display can opt for the W3653 package that includes a 17-inch widescreen LCD and a PC with a Intel Celeron dual-core CPU, 1GB of RAM and a 320GB HDD for $498. The 17-inch display is sold separately for $189.99 and a new 19-inch LCD is available for $209.99. None of these systems will break any performance records, but for a simple word processing, email, and web surfing machine they will do just fine.
